Youth Sailing Group

Weir Wood Sailing Club is a members club with a long tradition of introducing children and young people to sailing. Our aim is to introduce children and young people to the sport of sailing in a safe, controlled but fun environment.

Club members aged between 8 and 17 can attend organised youth activities on Saturday afternoons from late April until late July and from September to the end of October. Members may use their own boats or hire a club boat in advance.

Non members can take part in the the Beginners group in order to complete RYA Stage 1 (typically 4 session) or if more experienced can register for up to 2 taster session with either Youth Sailing or Race Coaching. After which they must become members of WWSC to continue.
