Saturday skills we will work on boat handling, sail trimming, with fun exercises on the water along with mini races and starting practise. These sessions are aimed at more mature sailors who want to get more fun out of sailing their lasers.
If anyone has any special requests please just ask as no fixed format.
Sunday afternoons are a great time to go for a leisurely sail – there is no racing to worry about and there is a club Support Boat on duty in case of mishaps. We hope this will appeal particularly both to members who have joined the club recently and also to established members who have perhaps lost the habit of visiting the club regularly and are therefore not getting value from their membership.
As we have discovered from the weekday sailing initiative, we believe it will also be a great opportunity for participants to get know other members and possibly forge sailing partnerships.
Each week, we will have a couple of experienced members on hand to guide and assist. We envisage the programme will be something like:
|1.00– 2.00 pm||Meet up in clubhouse for lunch (optional).|
|2.00-3.30 pm||Go sailing|
|3:30-4:00 pm||Come off the water and retire to the clubhouse for tea and cake before heading home,
spiritually refreshed and ready to face the week ahead.
